  1. Letter Builder

    Please Please add or create a regular form that can automatically populate basic information such as Practice's Information, Patient's Full Name, DOB, Address so staff can use to give patient's. Please make them to were we can customize them ourselves for different types of letters. Examples are: Return To Work Forms, Pregnancy Verification Letters, Generic Letters, etc....

    Our other EMR had a wonderful letter builder I can show you. It is very helpful

    • be able to send referrals for inactive patients.

      Just because a patient is inactive doesn't mean that we don't still send records for them (if they have moved or switched providers). It would be great if they were still searchable in the Send Referral section. It really adds to the workflow to make them active again, send the records, and then go back and make them inactive again.

      • Please allow us to have the ability to remove/hide some of the headers (e.g. mods/charge/adjmt) on Billing Statements.

        The statements as they are now show way too much information - we really don't need it to show the charge to a patient's insurance, adjustments, what insurance paid, etc. They already get EOBs from their insurance company that have all this information....And all these other details on the bill from us make it very confusing for patients.

        It would be great to be able to hide these columns on bills (when needed) so that it is only showing the date, provider, and balance due.

        Also - there is still no way to add interest to balances past due, very…

        • Improve iPhone and iPad messaging functionality

          The iPhone app does not have any messaging functionality. iPad app has a messaging center where I can read patient messages and respond, but there is no way to write a new message for a patient, nor is there anyway to read all messages from/to a patient like the website. Please improve the mobile apps so that they have full messaging functionality. You should be able to go to a patient's chart and see all messages and write a new message.

            • Ability to change onboarding process for new patients vs follow up appointments

              We would like to gather all onboarding information for new patients.

              However, for follow up appointments, we would like to simply have them answer a few questions and sign consent forms.

              Can we have the option to assign the FULL onboarding process for new patients and then assign an abbreviated onboarding process for all follow up appointments.

              • have an option when viewing the calendar to hide patient names

                Sometimes when scheduling at the front desk, patients try to lean over to see our calendar. However because the calendar shows every scheduled patient's full names, we have to ask the patient to please step away from the screen and to not look at it. It would be great to have an option to mask or hide patient names (or even to make them initials) so that patients can look at the calendar on my screen without violating the privacy of other patients.

                • Save message center document "notes" to patient charts

                  When a "note" is added to a document in the message center, it should be saved and able to be viewed from the patient chart. At this time, all that I can see in the patient chart is the document, no anything that was commented about the document. We have numerous "messages" that come into the message center on a daily basis. Trying to sort back through the message center to find the document and note that was attached to it is extremely tedious. The lab section already saves comments that I make. This same function needs to be enabled…

                  • Patient Account Number to be printed on either Patient demographics or Transaction Summary page

                    It would be very helpful to have the patient's Account Number print on a Patient Demographic sheet when printed or the Full Transaction History sheet. We provide these two documents to our local collection agency when we assign collection accounts out. They have no identifier for the patient and cannot use their date of birth due to collection laws. It's a pretty standard thing in most EMR's. In the meantime we hand writing the patients account number on all printed paper forms.

                      We have no way of telling if a fax has failed to send without manually checking within our inbox. We are a very large practice and send thousands of faxes each day and this is something that is too cumbersome to manage manually.

                        It is very distracting to see cancelled appointments on the schedule. I would love it if cancelled appointments can stay in the patients appointment history but be removed from the schedule. It blocks the space and makes it difficult to schedule someone else into that time slot.

                          It is difficult to track who needs a followup APPT and who is already on the calendar. It would be really helpful (and I think simple) to add a report to show what patients DO NOT have any future appt scheduled. Currently, whenever I have a few minutes, I like to call outstanding patients and book followups. Right now, the prep time to figure out who I need to call is really really long. Please add this report! Thanks a bunch.

                              Our practice has a lot of follow up or check up appointments that are no charges to the patient (ie, can not charge the insurance either).
                              And it is a total waste of time to manually sort through all the "claims" in live feed and "settle" the zero charge appointments.

                                We are a walk-in self pay only clinic and many times our patients make payments using two forms of payments but there is not currently any way to do this easily. If they pay half with credit card and half with cash we are forced to choose one of the other. We can right in the notes that it was partially cash but when checking the day sheets or overall sales it is difficult to see.

                                  I like the idea of clinical flags, but it's too time consuming to view a flag from within the clinical note. You have to open a new tab, go to patient's profile page, click on demographics, then flags. Or go back to schedule, click on appointment, etc. It's not streamlined and too many clicks (honestly this is my biggest issue with DrChrono in general)

                                  Now with other EHRs i've used, you have notes for each patient that can be easily accessed from within the clinical note. Clinical flags should be able to be viewed easily from within the clinical note…

                                      I'm used to Epic EHR which has a better refill request authorization system. I tried to find a screenshot but couldn't.

                                      But basically we need the ability to authorize/deny refill requests without having to click on each one individually. In Epic they all show up within one window, so you can easily scroll down and approve/deny in the same window. There's also an 'Approve all' button and a 'Deny all' button so you can quickly scroll through and make a decision about authorizing or denying. Currently DrChrono is cumbersome for refills requests because it's so clicky.

                                      • We would like to be able to access the documents from where you click on the actual appointment in the tabs at the top.

                                        When you open up an appointment and there are all those tabs at the top such as billing and so on... is there a way for Chrono to build in a "documents" tab for quick access to upload and view a patients documents? That would be super helpful and save time!

                                        • Update Medication List

                                          The active medication list should update every time the office accepts a refill request from the pharmacy. Right now every time you accept a refill request it gets logged in the prescription log on the bottom of the screen of the medication list and you have to scroll down the page but it does not update the active medication list on the top of the page. This makes it difficult for staff to know which medications are active and when the last refill date was.
