  1. Dec 2015 change to lab sort is NOT an improvement - sort by date, not appointment

    Labs used to sort by the date ordered and then by when the results were reported by the lab. That worked great.

    Now in December 2015, drchrono changed to sort labs by "appointment" which auto-fills as N/A.

    That's completely useless for several reasons:
    1, Labs are often drawn by visiting nurses in the field -- not tied to any appointment.
    2. There is no mechanism when creating the electronic lab order to actually assign a date or appointment

    • Reorder lab order so the newest lab results are at the top, not the bottom.

      Reorder lab orders so the newest lab results are at the top, not the bottom. For people with lots of labs, (persons with frequent INRs for example), could have hundreds of test you have to scroll through to get to the newest. It would be best to have the newest on top.

      • Pharmacy fax number missing from printed Rx. Include on printed Rx

        Each pharmacy's fax number is already part of their eRx data -- we ca see it every time a pharmacy is selected.

        However, as soon as an Rx needs to be printed this data disappears.

        For example: a controlled substance that must be faxed to the pharmacy displays that fax number on screen but then that information is missing from the printed paper Rx. See the screen shots of our test patient

            Hey Stephen -

            If you go to Account Settings > Billing Tab > Scroll all the way down you’ll be able to see Default ICD Code Version which allows you to do this for any new appointment that is created within the system. (Of course and future appointment that is already manually changed and/or reach out to our support team with a request)

            I’ve attached a screenshot as well within your ‘idea’ so you can see the image of what needs to be set in the settings page.

            Please, please, please give us a way to call your support staff rather than having to send emails and messages back and forth. There is too much time wasted trying to get clarification on how to do things as it usually takes more than one message to get problems solved.

            • misleading LAST APPT date

              LAST APPT at the top right of a patient's chart
              should only change when a clinician sees them, not when we have to add an appointment for a product sale, a paperwork fee, a no-show, or a reschedule.
              There should be an option (maybe as an appt status) for us to be able to specify that essentially the appt is Office only instead of a visit with a clinician.
              Also, these visit should not need the clinician to lock them. The office staff should have permissions to "lock" these types of visits.

                Thanks for providing this feedback!

                We’re changing the verbiage of the “Last Appt” to now read “Last Scheduled Appointment”. While this change doesn’t separate ‘clinical’ visits vs. ‘office’ visits, it does exclude appointments that are canceled, rescheduled, or no show. The result is a much more accurate representation of the “Last Scheduled Appt” that shows on the top right of the patient’s chart.

              • Common Lab Orders Lists!!

                We are trying to create a list of common labs we order but you can only create favorites specific to a patient. When you choose a favorited lab for a different patient it uses the ICD9 codes and bill to instructions for the original patient it was ordered under, adding false ICD9 codes and incorrect 'bill to' information.

                • Add the common strip tests for proteinuria etc etc to the vitals for easy monitoring?

                  Testing for proteinuria ,glycosuria,hematuria is often routine at each visit. Could it be added to the vitals please. Thanks.

                  • Add the existing "ChartID" field to the Medication report, just like it is in the Patient List.

                    Without the Chart ID included in the Medication report for each patient, there is a risk that like-named patients are mixed up, i.e. John Smith and John Smith, even though they are different patients and thus have different Chart IDs. We export the Medication Report as a csv, but without the Chart ID we cannot differentiate like-named patients and run the risk of a mix up.

                    • Add "view COMPLETE note" button to appointment and billing tabs. Better yet, add one to the appointment screen, too.

                      it currently takes too many clicks to get to the completed chart note when staff and doctors are using the browser. Please add a "view COMPLETE note" button to the appointment tab, billing tab, and it would be great to have a link directly on the appointment screeen.

                      Due to the incredibly long lag times between screens, it becomes increasingly frustrating to click through so many times, just to see the complete note in the browser.

                            Please add TouchID support to sign-in on iPads & iPhones.

                            Also, please let us specify how long a sign-in is valid for until we need to repeat the sign-in (currently it is required every time the iPad sleeps or the app is switched - this is too burdensome)

                              • Fix billing tab 'save' on appointment screen so it doesn't always go back to the appointment tab!

                                This has to be one of the most annoying things, especially for the offices still using in-house billing. So there you are on the appointment screen doing the billing for the patient that just came in, you click to open the billing tab, type in or copy all the info and then hit save AND THEN IT GOES BACK TO THE APPOINTMENT TAB just so that you can go BACK the the appointment tab and print the HCFA.

                                Why can't it just refresh or save and just stay on the tab! It defeats half the purpose of even having it…

That way when we need to adjust information in an appointment from the daily billing problems, we can go straight to the live claims feed without having to open up another page. (reasons for needing the live claims feed - sometimes we need to see if other appointments have been denied, what the patients past diagnoses were etc.)

                                        Currently, the Provider has to input or update the pt pharmacy if pt is new. I would suggest that either in the check-in process or an area that the MA can input prior to provider seeing pt, we get the pharmacy information ahead of time so the provider only needs to send rx, not search for pharmacies, etc.

                                          We are happy to report that if a provider’s practice has access to the Onpatient feature as part of their drchrono service (which includes the CheckIn and the Onpatient webportal services) a patient can enter their preferred pharmacy information prior to seeing the provider.

                                          Well designed scheduling applications do not require a secondary scheduling component where in you need to go to your email to complete your online appointment scheduling. You should have the option to turn off the email confirmation requirement of scheduling. Many people schedule their appointment, never go to their email and then assume their appointment was made, yet the appointment was cancelled due to the missing email confirmation.
