  1. Run Aging Report by insurance to make it easier for the biller and ensure money comes in for the physician!

    The aging report is used by the biller to see what has not been paid by the insurance. If this report is grouped by insurances, for instance if BCBS hasnt paid you on 14 patient visits, they all come up so the biller can address each one with the insurance company in one phone call.

    • Automatically set medication start date when e-Prescribing

      The medication start date should automatically be set to the current date when sending an eRx.

      • Automatically change the billing status to settled if both the patient balance and insurance balance are $0.

        If the billing status would automatically change to settled when the balance is $0, this would keep us from having to go through every appointment when ERA's come through.

          Our system will change the status to “Paid in full” if there is no balance in the appointment.

        • Make OnPatient More Customizable

          I have a fee for service medical practice in Canada and there are screens in the onboarding process which are unnecessary (Primary Insurance, Secondary Insurance & HIPAA). Please give us the option to have more control over the onboarding process.

          • How about updates on your blog when new features arise?

            Not seeing much when a new feature is release. Blog is updated very infrequently. If new features are released who is going to teach us about them? Also the educational videos are not updated very often either,

            • Ability to have 1 calendar for all physicians in our practice instead of 4 different calendars and 20 different locations for each physician

              Right now we have to switch back & forth between physician calendars and pick physician locations to view that physician's schedule for the day. Make it so that we can customize the system so we have only one calendar for ALL physicians in the practice so we don't have to switch back & forth (this makes it confusing! & gives more room for scheduling mistakes) and add a drop down tab like when you go to schedule a patient to select the appropriate facility or location of service.                 Unforunately DrChrono lets you assign inactive CPT and ICD-9 codes. It should only let you assign codes that are currently active and valid.

                  The reason we allow CPT/ICD9 values that are replaced by newer ones is for a few reasons:
                  1) Claims can be entered for appointments that are up to 1 year old (or older) and older codes are needed for older dates.
                  2) Some insurance companies don’t update their code sets and billers are forced to use old codes to communicate with these insurance companies.

                  So it is hard to say that a code should no longer ber used because there are special cases where they will be required.

                • Delete lab results from patient's chart that have been automatically attached (for partial labs).

                  Quest Labs now sends us lab results already attached to the patient's chart; however, they resend the partial results every time they complete a new lab, which means we can get 10 copies of the lab results until the final lab comes in. We can't go back and delete the partial labs, so they clutter the chart whenever the Doctor checks on the patient's information.

                    Please contact your Quest account manager since they control partial results filtering into drchrono. We currently had this feature built for our clients but Quest contacted us to take it down and let them control what lab results are filtered into the system.

                    Please advise.

                    almost all of the colors for the appointment boxes are some shade of green. if we could designate our own colors it would make scheduling easier.

                      We currently provide the option to change the appointment colors based on appointment profiles.

                      You can create and edit these profiles from Scheduling > Appointment profiles.

                      Please let us know if this resolves your issue!

                      Online scheduling appointments coincide with appointment profile times. For instance they can schedule as a New Patient & it blocks off the allotted time you have for a NP profile, or existing patient only blocks off the allotted time for an existing patient profile.

                      • Create Patient Appointment Holders/Slots

                        The problem with the current solution is that you cannot be flexible in terms of how you would like your schedule presented online.

                        Creating appointment holders and slots would allow the scheduling staff to know where they would be allowed to put patients into the schedule.

                        These patient holders could be a feature that could be linked to the online scheduling where patients could only take up the blocks that have these holders/slots in place. Any slot that did not have a place holder would not show as an available time slot for the patient.

                            We have a large spanish speaking population. It would be nice to have the option for them to fill out OnPatient in spanish (or other languages).

                              There is nothing anywhere in the system that shows who sent in a prescription. I think this needs to be documented.

                              • Allow viewing full schedule in daily and weekly views.

                                It is very cumbersome not to be able to view the entire daily schedule with the daily or weekly view options when there are appointments past 5:00 PM (i.e.,longer than an eight hour day) without switching to the monthly view and clicking on the "+ # Others" when there are these additional such appointments. Can developers work on reprogramming to fix this?

                                  Hi Janet,

                                  You can change your office hours under Account > Offices > Edit. The calendar will update to reflect your changes. You can also change the calendar increments under Account > Settings > Calendar settings to adjust the number of appointments that appear on the screen without scrolling.

                                • Have a Deductible and Co-Insurance tabs available for input under patient demographics and insurance

                                  We do not collect payment in the rear, we collect from the patients at time of service. To have the ability to actually note the patients deductible and co-insurance would greatly reduce the amount of time it takes to pull files and research this. This information can also be displayed upon checkout as to how much of the deductible has been met.

                                    1) You can use our Realtime eligibility feature to quickly find a patient’s insurance coverage for copay and deductibles.

                                  • Allow EDITING of PHONE CALLS.

                                    We should be able to edit phone calls.... a quick mis-tap of the iPad screen, and an incomplete Phone call is cast in stone. Silly. We should Definitely be able to add-to or edit a phone call, then sign-off. Aren't we all adults here?

                                      I don't like that I have to use Firefox. I think it's riduculous that you do not support Internet Explorer and force me to use something that my computer does not already come equipped with. I also cannot readily log on from someone else's computer because they use Internet Explorer.

                                        Our website makes extensive use of HTML5 features that are not supported by Internet Explorer. We recommend using a modern web browser such as Chrome in order to have the best experience using drchrono.

                                      • Smaller font or option to change

                                        The program screens do not fit well even on my large monitor requiring constant scrolling. It would be great if everything was scaled down a bit so things fit on a single screen better so there is less scrolling required. I have to scroll on the patient demographic and appointment screens and I think both could be scaled smaller to eliminate this.

                                          In Safari one can zoom the text size in and out with Command + and Command –
                                          The Command key on a Macintosh is indicated by an Apple or cloverleaf symbol. Or you can use menu View / Make Text Bigger.

                                        • have a pop-up that warns the scheduler that you're making an appointment outside of office hours or at the wrong location for that day

                                          It is a serious glitch in the system that allows booking of appointments outside of office hours when you are on the iPad and the web-based platform. There should be at least some "are you sure you want to do this?" message that alerts staff when they try to book appointments outside of the normal office hour windows.

                                          Same thing for booking appointments at an office location: I have two offices. My staff will occasionally book patients at the wrong site because there is no error message.
