  1. Add new/more custom templates for OnPatient

    As OnPatient currently works, there are only 2 templates to build out for which the patient will need to scroll down to complete all required information.

    Mostly for the population that will be using an iPad for the first time (still a lot of people, unfortunately) it would be nice to have the ability to create more templates so that there the are more screens rather than only 2 very long screens.

      Thank you for all of your votes. We have been hard at work to improve the stability of onpatient and are excited about the idea of adding more than the current limit of onpatient templates. We are currently working on our patient payment feature, and will tackle the number of available templates soon thereafter.

    • create payment plan for patients

      It would be amazing if we could set our patients up on a payment plan w drchrono! The payments would transfer to the patient ledger, and they would know they're paying a couple hundred dollars a month instead of paying per visit.

      features include:
      1)Track # of visits if on a payment plan
      2) Type of payment plan (annually, monthly)
      3) A start date and end date.
      4) Include family members in the plan
      5) Prepay for visits

        • E-Faxing Overhaul!

          As an office manager, We were so excited about switching to e-faxing. We have had it for 1 week and I can honestly say it has NOT helped our workflow at all for 3 reasons:

          1) We cannot split faxes - this is important bc we often get 10-50 page faxes containing different patient reports from hospitals. So when we get these faxes, we cannot use the "attach to patient chart" feature. We have to print them off, sort them and rescan them into Dr Chrono and THEN attach them to the patient chart. Waste of time!

          • Alphabetize Offices and Doctors

            Under account settings,the option to drag and drop the offices and providers name in alphabetical order doesn't apply to more than 1 page.

            It would be great if the names of the offices and providers will be listed in alphabetical order.

            • Allow Doctor to receive notification once a scheduled patient arrives

              Each time a patient is checked in as arrived in the schedule a notification or pop-up should alert the doctor on their end. That way doctor's are aware of how many patients may or may not be waiting and can guage when they need to finish up

              • Assess fees without making an "appointment."

                We charge patients for past due payments, returned checks, filling out forms, and refills outside of appointments. At the moment, in order to create those fees, we have to make an appointment. But that makes their "last appointment" inaccurate.

                • ABILITY TO SIGN OFF ON LABS AND PT REPORTS

                  Huge Liability that we dont have a holding area for uploaded documents from labs, other physicians and diagnostic reports. In a paper world, we are required to view and document we have seen the report. Now any staff can upload these documents, but there is no notification to the physician that its there. Meaning important results, and documents can be missed.

                  • Add option/check box into appointment scheduling box that generates immediate appointment reminder.

                    This would allow you to quickly and easily check a box when scheduling an appointment so that patients can immediately add an appointment into their electronic calendar.

                      Under patient statements I would like a column that would track the number of statements sent to the patient so when it reaches a certain number we can sent it to collections

                      • Outgoing Letter Templates

                        Need the ability to make outgoing documents e.g. letters of medical necessity, insurance letters, doctor's notes, etc. This will make it more simple for the office to only use drchrono for all office tasks. There will be no need for the patient info header, just the office logo and whatever text has been populated with the option of printing, faxing, or sending as a secure message.

                          • checklists

                            a way to have 'required' checklists placed into the file, that would show all that certain jobs have been completed, they can get signed off/audited, signed to verify completion. The ULTIMATE would be to have the ability to not allow certain other tasks until certain pre-requisites are performed! Just like when u fill out online forms, and u miss a box, it gets bounced back for you to complete the item.

                            • Add receipt options

                              Users should be able to control what information is printed on a patient receipt. Options like when their next appointment(s) is(are), amount and type of payment (check #, mastercard or visa), whether or not the service information should be displayed with complete ICD and CPT information (as it now shows on superbill - should have option to turn this off and just put in text describing the service ie "Chiropractic Care")

                              • Allow multiple patients to use same email for Onpatient login

                                In Pediatrics, we use the parent's email address for the children. When there are multiple children, the parents would like to be able to use the same email address to create onpatient accounts for all of their children. The demographics page allows us to override this when adding a sibling by alerting us that the email is already in use.

                                  I see several pieces of this in other suggestions, and hope that you will consolidate all of our requests into a single suggestion. Tasks needs a major overhaul. It is not sufficient to only have Open and Closed as options. We must be able to mark tasks as "in process" and other custom fields. We also need to be able to set due dates and/or reminders so that balls don't get dropped. drchrono doesn't seem to understand back-office workflows, and there is no facilitation of the work these staff members are doing.                                       Outcome assessment forms such as Oswestry and Roland Morris with automatic scoring would be wonderful. Especially to monitor patient progressions through care (intake and discharge).

                                      • Phone calls should be attached (not associated) with a patient/chart

                                        A patient calls the office, the secretary takes a message and assigns the phone log to the doctor, the doctor writes directions and assigns it to the MA, the MA speaks with the patient and sends it back to the doctor. Happens many times every day in all medical offices. That thread is currently NOT attached to the chart and cannot be found on the Ipad or searched for in the desktop.
