  1. Assess fees without making an "appointment."

    We charge patients for past due payments, returned checks, filling out forms, and refills outside of appointments. At the moment, in order to create those fees, we have to make an appointment. But that makes their "last appointment" inaccurate.

    • Ability to change onboarding process for new patients vs follow up appointments

      We would like to gather all onboarding information for new patients.

      However, for follow up appointments, we would like to simply have them answer a few questions and sign consent forms.

      Can we have the option to assign the FULL onboarding process for new patients and then assign an abbreviated onboarding process for all follow up appointments.

      • E-Faxing Overhaul!

        As an office manager, We were so excited about switching to e-faxing. We have had it for 1 week and I can honestly say it has NOT helped our workflow at all for 3 reasons:

        1) We cannot split faxes - this is important bc we often get 10-50 page faxes containing different patient reports from hospitals. So when we get these faxes, we cannot use the "attach to patient chart" feature. We have to print them off, sort them and rescan them into Dr Chrono and THEN attach them to the patient chart. Waste of time!

        • ABILITY TO SIGN OFF ON LABS AND PT REPORTS

          Huge Liability that we dont have a holding area for uploaded documents from labs, other physicians and diagnostic reports. In a paper world, we are required to view and document we have seen the report. Now any staff can upload these documents, but there is no notification to the physician that its there. Meaning important results, and documents can be missed.

          • Have an auto reply option for patient messages in OnPatient

            There should be an option to set an auto reply message in case a provider is on vacation or something so that when a patient sends a message via OnPatient they will get a notice right away notifying them so that they don;t get angry or upset if the providers don't respond.

            • Notify users if a fax has failed to send.

              We have no way of telling if a fax has failed to send without manually checking within our inbox. We are a very large practice and send thousands of faxes each day and this is something that is too cumbersome to manage manually.

              • Make Recurring Event searchable for patients with nicknames

                Right now if you want to use the patient search option for the Recurring Event feature it does not allow you to search for a patient if they have a nickname as part of their account, it will only let you search for patients that have first and last name only. For example I wanted to find the recurring event for Lucas (Luke) Smith either nothing comes up or it tells me no patients found but when I manually search for that event it's there.

                • Automatically fax locked chart notes to referring providers

                  We have a very large specialty practice that is driven by provider referrals. Currently we fax all of our notes to our referring providers manually. It would be very helpful to have a button (or an easier way) to fax these chart notes to a given patient's referring provider.

                      It would be more efficient to have a way to be able select a date to follow up on a claim with issues (or one designated internal review) and have it populate on the date set for review. This could be put under a new tab under billing on the live claims feed page so that when you went to that tab each day, it would populate all the claims needed for review.                           The iphone app does not let me access messages. When I go to the website on my phone browser, it loads in a way that doesn't let me READ any of the messages.

                          This seems like a really glaring absence, it terms of features.

                            In the web version automatically arrange the tags for Documents in alphabetical order. We use a lot of tags for documents, which makes it annoying for our providers to find the right tag to click on so that only those documents attached to that tag are shown on the screen.

                            • Allow us to add custom code and fee for cancelled or rescheduled appointments

                              Our office charges for appointments cancelled without a certain amount of notice. But when we change the status to cancelled, there is no option to put in a custom code to generate a charge.

                              So we either have to leave the appointment open, or mark them all as no shows.

                                The iPhone app does not have any messaging functionality. iPad app has a messaging center where I can read patient messages and respond, but there is no way to write a new message for a patient, nor is there anyway to read all messages from/to a patient like the website. Please improve the mobile apps so that they have full messaging functionality. You should be able to go to a patient's chart and see all messages and write a new message.

                                • Using EHR iPad app on iPhone 6 Plus

                                  Many people are getting larger screen phones which are big enough to do EHR on them especially with iPhone 6 Plus. Huge advantage is having everything in one, smaller to carry than iPad, and it is always with you to do notes anytime and anywhere.

                                  • See when another person is charting in an appointment

                                    In our practice, we enter data into our custom consults templates prior to the provider conducting the consult. Our nursing staff enters some data and our admin staff other data.

                                    We are finding that 2 staff members can not work in the same appointment template at the same time, however, chrono does NOT show any type of alert if the appointment/template is already open by another staff member like our previous system. Because of this, our staff members are having to do work two or three times because their work is not being saved. All of this is being caused…

                                      Right now I have statements that say they were sent 34 days ago, etc, but when I preview the statement, the charge is for an appointment that occurred only 14 days ago.

                                      Obviously the previous balance was paid, and a new charge created, but the day count didn't get reset.

                                        Add ability to see an audit log for Template Builder so a listing of when and who made changes to a template can be seen. It would be nice to see the changes which were made to the template as well.

                                        • Eliminate duplicate "Active med orders" that result from clicking "resend selected meds"

                                          When I choose "resend selected medication" and send an eRx, this creates a separate listing on the active med orders list. This makes active med lists very messy and confusing. Resending the selected med should only update the date on the current listing.
